About the Role: The Resilient Hunter

The BDR will partner with our senior consultants and leadership to expand our market reach and drive business for our elite service portfolio. This is not a role for the passive; we are looking for a self-motivated go-getter who genuinely loves the hunt and wants to build a career in sales. In the world of cybersecurity services, “no” is just a part of the process. We need a professional with deep resilience in the face of rejection, someone who can hear “not today” and continue to wear a smile as they move to the next opportunity. Above all, you must be a professional who puts customers first. We don’t just “sell” services; we advocate for the client’s safety, ensuring their specific security needs always drive the conversation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify New Markets: Proactively hunt for and engage potential clients who need our priority services, including Penetration Testing, Gap & Risk Assessments, and vCISO Services.
  • Strategic Outreach: Use intent tools (e.g. ZoomInfo) to track triggers to time your outreach perfectly.
  • Customer-Centric Discovery: Listen first. Identify a prospect’s unique security challenges and advocate for the solutions that provide them with true peace of mind.
  • Embrace the Grind: Maintain a high volume of outbound activity (calls, emails, social networking) with a tenacious, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Manage the Pipeline: Take full ownership of the CRM and accurately forecast your activity and results.
  • Strategic Outreach: Conduct high-level business development conversations with VP and C-level executives to build trustworthy relationships from the first touchpoint.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Partner with technical delivery teams to ensure your outreach is innovative and solves real-world problems for the customer.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience), plus at least one year of experience in a cybersecurity sales or a sales adjacent role.
  • Self-Motivation: A “go-getter” engine that doesn’t require constant revving; you own your territory and your results and take initiative to progress.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing skills to create compelling, creative campaign material.
  • Adaptive Growth & Versatility: A coachable mindset with the agility to step into cross-functional roles as the business requires.
  • High EQ: The ability to build immediate rapport and speak confidently about complex security needs and business risks.
  • Coachability: A self-learner with a willingness to deeply understand the Secure Yeti sales process and the “why” behind it.
  • Security Foundation: A basic understanding of Offensive/Defensive security, network layers, and topology.
  • Customer-First Mentality: A natural drive to help others and prioritize the client’s long-term security over a short-term win.
  • Advocative Spirit: A passion for helping organizations navigate the complex world of compliance, risk, and technical defense.
  • The “Trusted Advisor” Persona: The ability to present yourself as a knowledgeable partner rather than a transactional salesperson.
  • Compliance: Ability to pass a federal background check, drug test, and credit check.

 

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience in a business development or consulting sales environment.
  • A proven track record of hitting outbound activity targets in a “hunting” role.
  • Experience with outbound prospecting for high-value technical services.

Compensation

Secure Yeti LLC is committed to rewarding top performance. The compensation for this role is $110,000 OTE (On-Target Earnings), under a quota commission structure designed for high-earning potential.
